About this Metal

Sterling Silver serves as the base metal, which is then is then electro-plated with a thick layer of 14 Karat Gold. There is between 1-2 microns of 14 Karat gold plated, ensuring the golden hue remains intact when properly cared for. Because of the Sterling Silver base we recommend this type plating to people will metal allergies. We recommend removing all jewelry when coming into contact with hard water, chemicals in shampoos, ocean salt water, chlorine in pools, or heavy metals from sweat.
