Zawadi Batik Bone Beads
38 USD
Traditional natural bone African beads sourced from Kenya. Beads are strung on a straw cord with an inlay wooden core. The raw bone beads are dyed in a traditional African method known as batik - a wax relief process. Wax is applied to each bead by hand and then hand-dyed, so each bead is uniquely patterned and all look slightly different. Beads embody culture, strength, age, power, + status throughout most African tribes. African black bead color is a symbol of protection and power.
