The twin Gods of St. Elmo’s Fire are known as the Dioscuri - the sparking electricity that comes forth above the mountains and seas. They're known as the lords of horses and the guards of guests and travelers, wearing a wreath of stars. The twins were born mortal princes and were well-known for their great battles against giants. Though strong and bold, they were also very kind and generous. One twin was offered immortality upon his death, though he refused to accept the offer for himself and chose instead to share it with his brother. The two now appear in the heavens as the constellation of Gemini. They loom in the skies for a short six months of the year and together represent the sacred compromise that they made to split their immortality between themselves. They spend half the year on the Earthly plain and the other half in the celestial realm of the Gods.
